Counterfeit policy
BrandedStocklots is a marketplace for genuine branded stock: overstock, end-of-line goods, returns and liquidation lots. Counterfeit goods are not allowed. This page explains what may not be listed, how to report a listing, and what our team does with a report.
What may not be listed
- Counterfeit goods: products that carry a brand name, logo or packaging without the brand owner's permission.
- Replicas, "1:1", "AAA", "mirror quality" or "inspired by" items that copy a protected design or trademark.
- Genuine brand names used in a title or description to sell goods that are not that brand.
- Empty branded packaging, labels, tags or certificates sold separately.
- Goods you have no right to sell, including stolen goods.
- Goods that may not be sold or imported in the EU, such as recalled products.
Our terms and conditions require every user to respect the intellectual property rights of others and to follow the law. A seller is responsible for the goods they list.
How to report a listing
- Open the lot and click Report this listing, under the seller block.
- Choose Counterfeit or fake products as the reason and tell us what you noticed, for example a logo, a price or a photo.
- If you are not signed in, leave your e-mail address so we can follow up. Signed-in members are identified by their account.
A problem in a conversation with a seller can be reported with Report conversation in your messages. You can also e-mail us at info@brandedstocklots.com. Brand owners and their representatives can use the same address.
What happens after a report
- Your report is saved in our admin inbox and our team gets an e-mail about it.
- A person on our team reviews it. We may contact you or the seller for more information.
- If the listing breaks this policy, we take it offline.
- Depending on the case, we can also take the seller's other listings offline, withdraw their verified status, or block the account so it can no longer sign in.
We do not take part in the deal itself: buyer and seller agree and complete each transaction directly. We cannot refund a purchase or guarantee that goods are genuine, which is why the checks below matter.
Checks buyers should make
- Ask for recent photos of the actual lot, including labels, barcodes and packaging, not catalogue pictures.
- Ask where the goods come from: an invoice from the brand or an authorised distributor, or the retailer the stock came from.
- Be careful with famous brands at a fraction of the usual trade price, and with sellers who only want payment by untraceable methods.
- For larger orders, inspect the goods or have them inspected before paying the balance.
- Check the seller's company: ask for their company registration and VAT number and check the VAT number in the EU VIES system.
- Agree in writing what happens if the goods turn out not to be genuine.
