Coffee and tea stocklots range from instant coffee jars and capsules to ground coffee, whole beans and boxed tea bags. Most come from overstock, packaging redesigns, promotional editions and short-dated stock. Coffee keeps well, so best-before dates are usually further out than for other food, but quality does drop after the date, most noticeably for ground coffee and capsules. Check capsule compatibility (which machine system) before buying capsules, since a lot that fits only one system narrows your market. For tea, ask whether boxes are single flavours or mixed cases. Confirm the pack size, the number of units per case, the language on the pack and whether the price is per case, per pallet or for the whole lot. For larger lots, ask whether the seller can split them over several pallets or deliveries.
